This is the highest award presented to a private sector corporation who is a prime contractor with city, county, state and non-profit agencies and utilizes certified small, minority and/or women-owned or disadvantage businesses in the delivery of the contracted goods or services. The Corporate Partner of the Year consistently meets or exceeds their commitment to small, minority/women-owned and disadvantaged businesses for purchasing, technical and managerial assistance, if necessary, and demonstrates a conscientious effort towards the sponsorship of minority programs. This company must have and continue to strive toward establishing “best practices” in diversity programs.

The winner of the SBE Business of the Year award consistently provides quality products and services. Additionally, the business should demonstrate a concerted effort in striving to “give back” to other certified SBEs and the community. The winner is chosen based on the amount of business they do, performance involving quality in the delivery of products/services, and participation and support of community activities.

The Palm Beach Partners is a coalition of City, County, State and non-profit agencies aligned to maximize economic development opportunities for small businesses throughout the South Florida region.

The group includes: City of Riviera Beach, Palm Beach County Board of County Commissioners, Solid Waste Authority, Office Equal Business Opportunity, Department of Airports and Palm Tran), School District of Palm Beach County, City of West Palm Beach, Center for Technology Enterprise and Development (TED Center), and PARAGON Florida, Inc.

OUR GOAL:

Our goal is to extend this distinctive business opportunity beyond our respective geographic and organizational borders to benefit small, women-owned and disadvantaged business enterprises (SBEs, M/WBEs, or DBEs) throughout the entire South Florida region.
