Robert Major is the OSD Vendor Relations Coordinator, where he is responsible for building and managing relationships with certified woman-, veteran- and minority-owned small businesses. His primary focus is to help small businesses better understand how they can work with the state of Florida to secure government contracts.

Robert brings nearly 26 years of experience in both the public and private sectors. Prior to his role with OSD, Robert served as a Purchasing Specialist with the Florida Department of Children and Families.

Before his state government work, Robert served in a variety of roles with Habitat for Humanity and Prison Rehabilitation Industries. He has also worked for private sector companies including Proctor and Gamble, Pfizer Pharmaceuticals and Genesis Health Care.

Robert is a small business owner, and enjoys capturing photographic memories for his clients. He is an experienced manager and sales consultant, with extensive knowledge in vendor relations, client management, materials management, logistics and procurement.

Robert was born in Okinawa, Japan and grew up in Americus, Ga. He is a husband and father of three beautiful daughters. His family has made Tallahassee, Fla., their home for the past six years.
