Procurement and Business Development Manager
PBC Facilities Development and Operations

I started with Palm Beach County in 2004 as a Fiscal Specialist with Facilities Development and Operations (FDO), Facilities Management Division. I was given an amazing opportunity to work at the region level where I performed procurement/storeroom functions. This position enabled me to learn the inner workings of FDO and provided me with facilities management type experience. Within two years, I accepted a promotion with the Purchasing Department where I then spent the next 8 years of my career as a Senior Buyer. The Purchasing Department was an exceptional department to work for as it provided me with extensive knowledge on government procurement. As a Senior Buyer, I was the liaison between the user departments and the vendors for purchasing goods and services. In 2014, I accepted a promotion within FDO as the Procurement & Stores Manager. I managed three types of work groups: Contract Evaluators, Procurement Specialists and Storekeepers. All of these positions are responsible for contract management and procuring goods and services at the region level. I recently accepted a new position within FDO as a Procurement and Business Development Manager. This newly created position is responsible for overseeing the procurement, stores and inventory programs for FDO. I am also involved with outreach to the vendor and contractor communities to promote doing business with Palm Beach County and providing information on how to become a registered vendor. I am hopeful with this new position, we are able to simplify the process and provide vendors and contractors with a single point of contact to answer any questions or concerns they may have.
