Gary M. Sypek is currently the Director of Airport Planning for the Palm Beach County Department of Airports, based at Palm Beach International Airport (PBI) in West Palm Beach, Florida. Palm Beach County, through its Department of Airports, owns and operates PBI as well as three (3) general aviation airports in the County. Gary has over twenty-four (24) years of progressively responsible aviation experience in both the private and public sectors. As the Director of Airport Planning, his key responsibilities include all planning functions at the County’s airports, as well as the development, management and administration of the Department’s grant and Passenger Facility Charge (PFC) programs, and the development of the capital improvement program for the County’s four (4) airports. Gary is responsible for professional services/consultant procurement and management, and management and oversight of all facility planning and design. Gary also oversees the IT Division and the Noise Abatement & Community Affairs Division within the Department of Airports.
